It's a Lady Bug Epidemic!

I've never seen so many lady bugs in my life! Seriously, they are literally swarming the house. It's a perfectly beautiful day today and Mr. Wonderful and I were washing windows indoors with plans to do the outside too. But, I gave up on doing the outside because of all these crazy lady bugs! It wouldn't be so bad, but they BITE! No kidding, this must be a new strain in an innocent lady bug disquise! :)

Check out the photo taken in front of our garage. This is just one small area, but our entire house is covered like this!

The good news is that I had a terrific excuse to retreat to my stamping room. At least we got the inside of the windows washed and new weather stripping on before winter. This was just another project on our "to do list" that feels great to have done. :)

All the lady bugs outside reminded me of a card we made last year at Stamp Club so I made one like it. It's really a super simple card to make and took just a few minutes. You could make the bugs any size, but I used the 3/4", 1-1/4" & 1-3/8" circle punches for mine. The antenna {antennae?} are drawn on with a fine tip black marker.

The flowers along the bottom are from the Stampin Up "Simply Said" set. The "my friend" sentiment is from "Blossoms Abound", another SU set.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Quote for Today ~

"Give yourself a perfect day. Do what makes you happiest. Look upon what gives you joy. Speak to those who warm your heart. Listen to that which lifts your spirit. Surround yourself with sights and sounds and people who give you pleasure. For all the happiness you give to others all year long, give yourself a perfect day." ~Author Unknown

And then tomorrow, repeat the process. :)

Isn't this a beautiful quote? I hope it blesses your day as much as all of you bless mine.

That makes me think of the Little Lady stamp set from PTI that I have been contemplating! What a great card!

Oh my, I have never seen so many ladybugs! Many many years ago, I used to have rose bushes and they got aphids, so instead of spraying chemicals, I bought ladybugs from Home Depot. Worked like a charm. The ladybugs didn't hang around after they ate, so I didn't know if they were biters or not.

Very cute card. I'll have to remember how to make these from the punches. Very clever.

I actually don't think those are the ladybugs we have grown up with, these are a new batch from Asia....seriously! They DO bite! We have had problems here as well! I LOVE that adorable card! (And those ladybugs don't bite! LOL!)

You are on a blogging/stamping roll my friend. Beautiful work. I really love the spider image with hang in there sentiment...made me laugh.

Those ladybugs sound kind of scary, maybe they are some kind of weird Halloween ladybugs.

That sure is a ton of lady bugs. Did you know they are suppose to be good luck. I had a teacher once who like to go to Vegas and before everytrip she would go to the pet store and buy a bag of ladybugs and set them loose inside her house!!!! LOL!!! I like ladybugs and all but not inside!!!

Ugh, I hate those darn bugs! We used to have them like your picture, too but thankfully haven't seen them as much around here for a few years.

Your cards are just darling! I'm so glad you visited my blog so I could have a chance to visit yours! Your work is excellent! I will add you to my blog roll since you added me to yours!
