Sending you Sunshine!

I've finally done some dry embossing, thanks to my friend Becky who sold me her light box and included the embossing tool! This little smiley sunshine is a brass template by All Night Media and came with some terrific instructions for dry embossing. Actually, I have done it before without a light box and I find this to be soooo much easier!

Instructions that came with the stencil:

1) Position stencil on a light box

2) Secure your paper face down on the stencil

3) Rub wax paper over your paper surface

4) Trace the stencil design with your embossing tool

5) Use inks, chalks, makrers, glittle glue, or paint to embellish!

Put Your Big Girl Panties On & Deal With It!

I received this cute image sometime ago in a swap and decided to color her up with prismas and make myself a card!

Honestly, I needed to tell myself this, as I was bummed about going back to work today after 2 weeks vacation. Shouldn't I be thankful I have a job to go back to?! I know, I know, but I would much rather stay home and make cards and read blogs and . . . you understand, don't you??? :)
Thank you Jami for the cute pp by K*I Memories. (You shouldn't have left it here yesterday!) :) The cardstock used is SU Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie & Old Olive. Making Memories flower brad.

My Last Day of Vacation! : (

Today is my last day of vacation after having nearly 2 weeks off work and an
aweseome trip to Hawaii! Well, it was sure FUN while it lasted!!! I just couldn't get out of bed this morning and wasted half of my day! It doesn't help that it's soooo COLD and wintry here in Nebraska.

My sweet DIL Jami came out to visit and brought some cool papers and new stamps with her. While I worked on my "flood" cards for a Stamp Shack swap, she created several neat "Aloha" themed cards. We want to put together a card tin stocked with cards for Katie in Hawaii. When we get them ALL done & the tin decorated I'll post photos. For now, here is one she made today! Isn't it CUTE?! She's always SO creative and thinks outside the box more readily than I do!

[I should mention that the cute stamp that resembles a BELLA is from a polymer set by Clearly Wordsworth. She found it half price :) at Hobby Lobby.]

Cards to make you Smile...

These are some of my recent creations. As you can see, I enjoy using patterned paper in my cardmaking. I've just begun to play with the prismacolor pencils! What FUN!

Pam from Nebraska meets Dori in Hawaii!

Dori & Pam shopping in Oaha!
Notice my hands are full of rubber stamps! :)
It was such a pleasure to meet another pcmb friend! Dori picked me up and we went to two different rubber stamp/scrapbooking stores. It was SO FUN!
