Last month at Stampin' Up! Stamp Club we made this "Cool Caribbean" rectangular thank you card and we were challenged to make another card using this layout. (This is a 6x6 square folded in half.)
I'm enjoying the summer months and certainly not ready for Fall yet, but I wanted to use another stamp from the SU "Give Thanks" set (see sunflower in previous post) and this is what I came up with. I stamped the basket of leaves in black and colored them with prismacolor pencils. The cardstock is all Stampin' Up! -- pumpkin pie, more mustard and real red. The sentiment "grateful" is from SU set - "Small Script". I stamped the card with the "weathered" background and the small piece behind the image was stamped with the "canvas" background stamp. Lately, I've been using patterned papers on almost all my cards, so it was good to use my background stamps again! The ribbon is also from SU - mustard grosgrain.
The inside sentiment is another stamp from the "Give Thanks" set and it is also my Quote for Today ~
"Give thanks for the simple things in life."

These are great cards. Love the cool carribean
Beautiful colors. Love the basket especially. I'm an autumn kind of gal!
As always your coloring is wonderful and I especially like your choice of the weathered background. Very nice.
These are great, really like this shape card, it is so versitle.
I love the warmth in color and message of your fall card. The size of the first card is really great. It's a good way to use up those 12 x 12 sheets of cardstock.
Love them BOTH! I love that size card too!
