{ Endless Creations } New FUN Stamps!

This morning I'm all about having FUN with new stamps from my friend Donna (craftingcrazy) in Oregon. She sent me the coolest stamps for my birthday from Endless Creations. There is a small polka dot in two sizes and then a polka dot line border in two styles. I thought the bright Stampin Up! colors of green galore, pink passion and lavendar lace went well with this springy design. The big blossom is a bit smaller than the one from SU. I've printed off the template at the Stamp Shack. The round happy birthday stamp is from Inkadinkado. I've put the paper through my Cuttlebug with the bloom dots embossing folder to give it some added lift. Hope you like it!
Smiles, Pam :)

Here comes Peter Cottontail. . . { Hoppy Easter! }

"Here comes Peter Cottontail,
Hoppin' down the bunny trail,
Hippity, hoppity,
Easter's on its way!"

Isn't this bunny just the cutest ever?! This is another image that I received from Nancy (directmailscrapper) at the Stamp Shack and I simply couldn't wait to color it in with my prismas. I didn't realize it, but I don't have that many stamps that I can color. (Sounds like an excuse to go shopping, huh? :)

Supply List: Stampin Up cardstock-barely banana, certainly celery, lavendar lace. Patterned paper-Pocket full of Posies stack. Nancy said the bunny was a Penny Black stamp. Made tag by printing "Hoppy Easter" on pc and punching with 1" and 1-1/4" punches. Dotted ribbon from M's.

{ Three Little Kittens } ~ a Virtual Swap!

This card was made for a "Virtual Swap" at the Stamp Shack hosted by Nancy (directmailscrapper). She sent out the kitty image to several gals that signed up for her swap. I received the image in the mail today and and this is what I came up with! Inside sentiment says: "I Miss You!" (I couldn't think of anything to put on the front that wouldn't take away from this darling image.)

Supply list: colored image with prismacolor pencils/gamsol, Stampin' Up so saffron cardstock, Bo-Bunny Press patterned paper from Shabby Princess collection. Scalloped circle punch sent to me by Annette (buggainok). Rubber stamp-Great Impressions.
Is there anyone else old enough to remember the Mother Goose nursery rhyme "Three Little Kittens"? For some reason this image reminded me of it and I had to google it and read it again. How silly! :)

Three little kittens,They lost their mittens,And they began to cry,
Oh, mother, dear,We sadly fear,Our mittens we have lost.
What! Lost your mittens,You naughty kittens,Then you shall have no pie.
Meow, meow,Then you shall have no pie.
The three little kittens,They found their mittens,
And they began to cry,Oh, mother, dear,See here, see here,Our mittens we have found.
What, found your mittens,Then you're good kittens,And you shall have some pie.
Purr-rr, purr-rr,Then you shall have some pie.
Three little kittens,Put on their mittens,And soon ate up the pie.Oh, mother, dear,We sadly fear,Our mittens we have soiled.
What! Soiled your mittens,You naughty kittens,
And they began to sigh.Meow, meow,And they began to sigh.
The three little kittens,They washed their mittens,And hung them out to dry.
Oh, mother, dear,Do you not hear,Our mittens we have washed?
What! Washed your mittens?Then you're good kittens!
But I smell a rat close by.Meow, meow,We smell a rat close by.

Make a Wish! { Tinkerbella }

Tinkerbella is ready to grant our wishes! :) Now close your eyes, count to 3 and wish for that one stamping / papercrafting item you've been dreaming of. Is it the Cuttlebug, the new PapertreyInk Butterfly Kisses set, a Marvy Uchida scalloped punch? If you're like me, there is *always* something on your wish list! : )

I'm really very curious what everyone is wishing for. If you have a minute, please post your wish, just for FUN...and then on Friday I will draw a name and send you this Tinkerbella card! : )

Supplies: Patterned paper~The Pocket full of Posies Stack, Stampin' Up! summer sun cardstock~cuttlebugged with swirl embossing folder. Tinkerbella was colored with prismacolor pencils/gamsol, freehand doodling around the edge. The tag is from TAC "fun tags" and "make a wish" is from my very first ever stamp set~ SU Mini Mates. Also used slot punch, yellow brads, pink grosgrain ribbon, glitter pen.

----Updated 3-30-07----

Wish I may, wish I might, pick someone for my Bella card tonight...and the winner is: GrammaStamper (Barb) ! She left this comment:

Aunt Gerti's RX { Occasionally }

Isn't that a silly title for this card? : ) Let me explain... this cute patterned paper is from SEI ~Aunt Gerti's Garden~flower bed & plot of dots.
The RX image is from a Stampin' Up! 2004 set called "Occasionally." I've stamped it in chocolate brown and embossed it with a clear embossing powder to give it a sheen. I'm not sure you can tell in the photo, but I've punched a hole in the cardstock with my 1-3/8" square punch. The RX image is punched out with the 1-1/4" punch and attached on the inside with stampin dimensionals so it fits in perfectly in the window. :) "Thinking of You" is a $1 M's stamp and the pink/white polka dot ribbon is from M's as well. Inside sentiment: "Wishing you a speedy recovery".

I've been wanting to try and make a Triangle Trifold card and since I had some scraps of Gerti's paper out, I found the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers and started in. It's really a clever way to create a card and not as difficult as it appears! : )

{ Oh Baby! } Wishing You Joy!

This was made for a coworker of mine that just announced she is expecting her first child. The pregabella stamp from www.stampingbella.com is just as cute as can be and perfect for this happy occasion! I've done my own doodling around the edge of the image to accent it. The "oh baby" is a $1 M's stamp. The patterned paper is from KI Memories ~ Summer Dot & Summer Stripe. I ran the dot paper through my Cuttlebug with the Bloom Dots embossing folder. Accented with M's ribbon and circle clip. Inside sentiment is another M's stamp ~ "wishing you joy!" that has a doodlie (is that a word? :) design to it.
I'm having a FUN day in my craft room and hope to post more later! Smiles, Pam :)

Jacqueline's tip:
Craft tip: To adhere a prima flower to your card with a brad. Lay your card on a soft paper piercing pad, prick a hole with a large punaise and the brad just fits in without distorting the cardstock.

(Note: I had to look up what a "punaise" was and found it to be like a thumb tack. :)

Thank you ALL for visiting my blog and offering all the tremendous paper crafting tips! I was overwhelmed with the response. This was so FUN, I may have to do it again SOON! : )

{ A Flower Is Nature's Smile }

Happy Springtime! Spring is officially here and I'm so happy it is! This has been a very long winter in Nebraska and in many areas around the country.

Today I had a dr appt for my annual check-up (ugh!) and decided to come home for lunch before going back to work. Since I didn't get anything posted last nite, I wanted to quick post a "springy" card for you.

Update 3-26-07....
Several of you have emailed asking about this card and if it was a patterned paper. The background is Studio K Green Distressed Wood Flat Paper by K&Company. I've stamped it with the Stampin' Up! Island Blossoms set using Lavendar Lace, Elegant Eggplant & Old Olive. "A Flower is Nature's Smile is a Hero Arts stamp.
Thank you for all the nice comments! I appreciate hearing from all of you! Smiles, Pam :)

{ Impression Obsession } & Paisley Too!

In my humble opinion : ) this photo doesn't do the card justice. The color is much brighter in real life and it's difficult to see the shiny black embossing on the image. This is one of the cool new stamps I got out of the "swap box" (see post below). It is called "Tea Bag Folding Cube 4" by Impression Obsession. I'm impressed (no pun intended :) with this stamp and wish I had more like it.
Supplies: Stampin Up! cardstock - so saffron & basic black. Paisley background stamp, scroll image is from SU set - Noteworthy.
REMINDER!
The drawing for my BLOG CANDY BOOK will be on Wednesday evening ! It's not too late to sign up. Please do so on that post below ... and leave your favorite cardmaking tip! : ) Smiles, Pam :)

Great Idea! { Gently Used Rubber Stamp Swap }

Check this out! It's a box FULL of gently used rubber stamps that I received in the mail yesterday. I joined Tami's (teabear) swap at The Stamp Shack along with 7 other gals. Tami in California packaged up a box of stamps she no longer needed and sent them on to Missouri. Each of us could select any stamps from the box, as long as we replaced them with the same number of stamps. This started on February 7th and made it's way to me by March 17th! And this was via Wisconsin, New York, Nova Scotia and Ontario, CANADA! There are at least 6 stamps that I want for sure... there are even a couple smiley face stamps and Hawaiian stamps just for ME! :)

Do You Like My New Blog Banner?

Hooray for me! Tonight is DH's Pheasant's Forever Banquet so I have the evening all to myself to do what I please. : ) Like I don't usually. : ) So, first off I have created a new blog banner! What do you think? I found this beautiful "Bohemia" patterned paper by My Mind's Eye and just knew it would make the perfect background for my banner title. I'm a real novice using Paint Shop Pro, but I fiddled around with it until I achieved the "look" I wanted. This is really FUN, but back to rubber stamping for me . . . stay tuned for more later! : )

{ Sending Sunshine Your Way! }

Isn't this just the cutest card?! My good friend Donna (craftingcrazy) sent me this for my birthday and I LOVE it!! She colored the smileys in such a way they look dimensional. And she even made the one above the sentiment stand out with a pop dot, so it is dimensional! :) I'm busy this week helping DH with some Pheasants Forever business, so there has been no extra time for stamping!! boo hoo Maybe tomorrow! TTYL! Smiles, Pam

{ More Cuttlebug Fun! }

I've been wanting to play with my new Cuttlebug all day, but my DH had another project in mind for me. :( He volunteered to handle the ticket sales/memberships for the upcoming Pheasants Forever banquet and it has been quite a time-consuming project...creating a spreadsheet, balancing all the checks, making out the deposits, etc! ugh! I mean it is seriously cutting into my precious stamping time!
So, late this afternoon I finally got time to make a few cards and decided to "simplify". I really don't want to cover up this super cute "bugged" background. I bought the SPRING textured cardstock stack from DCWV and it has the white core. This is just perfect for the embossing with a bit of sanding over the top. Finished it off with white brads, black & white polka dot ribbon. The "Happy Birthday" stamp is from Inkadinkado. I think I'll take this design and make a variety of springtime colors. :) More later... I hope! :)

{ Luck 'o the Irish! }

I found this patterned paper yesterday at Michaels and decided to make a Happy St. Patrick's Day card just for fun and to send a happy "Hi!" to a friend.

Supplies: "Good Luck" patterned paper by Provo Craft. Stampin' Up! garden green cardstock. The little shamrock stamp is from SU "Tag Time". The inside sentiment "Happy St. Patrick's Day" is from "All Year Cheer III". I found a scrap of green white core paper and "cuttlebugged" it with one of the stitched squares embossing folders. Then I took a sanding block and scuffed it up. Used 3/4" & 1" circle punches, green polka dot ribbon, green brads.

March 08, 2007

{ If wishes could make you well... }

... you'd be better already! : ) That's the sentiment on this one I made at Stampin' Up! Stamp Club on Monday night. I didn't come up with the original idea, but I did spice it up a little with the doodling...my new fav thing to do! : )
Supplies: Stampin' Up! oval punches, chocolate chip and pretty in pink cardstock. White gel pen, chocolate chip marker. Pink eyelets, pink & brown ribbon. Stampin' Up! fine lace background used on the brown (difficult to see). Sentiment is from SU "Curvy Verses".

{ Sunny Smiles } ~ Beachabella!

Wouldn't it be nice to be her?! This is one of my very first BELLA stamps ~ thanks to my family! They surprised me with Beachabella and Flowahbella for my birthday. They are just SO CUTE and SO FUN to color with my prismas! :)

Other supplies: Patterned Paper - Beach Fun Flip Flops by American Traditional Designs. Stampin' Up! cardstock & brads- marigold morning & certainly celery. TAC Tag Tidbits.

Check out Jami's New Blog!

My sweet DIL, Jami, is SO talented and always creates the neatest cards! She has the ability to think and design "outside the box" and I admire that so much! Here is a card she made today that she posted on her new blog, Crazy Daisy Creations. Please check it out and leave her a comment. Also, you'll notice how pretty she is and how handsome my son Andrew is. ; )

{ Sending You SUNSHINE! }

It's still winter here in Nebraska and I'm longing for SPRING!
This "Sending You Sunshine" card was meant to warm my spirit...and yours too! Enjoy! :)

Supplies: Stampin' Up! cardstock - brocade blue, so saffron, barely banana. Patterned paisley paper by Frances Meyer. RSU ribbon - mustard, bluebird, apricot. Also, used my Cuttlebug stylized flowers embossing folder, paper piercing, round corner punch, blue brad. Sentiment stamp-unknown company.

When I create a color combo and design that I'm happy with, I tend to make several cards, just changing them up a bit with a different sentiment, embellishments, etc. Here is another one using "HAPPY hello" - from a favorite new acrylic set from PAPERTREYink. The flower stamp is also in this set.

{ Goodie Goodie for ME! } The Cuttlebug!

My family is THE BEST!!!
They knew how much I've been wanting the Cuttlebug (ok, I admit throwing out a *few* major hints) and they got it for my birthday! Yes, I'm smilin' now! :)

This Cuttlebug is SO cool! I'm really impressed with the quality of the machine and how easy it is to operate. They got me two embossing folders ~ Thanks & Stylized Flowers and one die cut set ~ Baby Face alphabet & tags. Now I'm just having SO much FUN playing with my new toy. The first card I made is to say THANK YOU to Jim, Katie, Andrew & Jami! Love Ya!

{ Life gives you many reasons to SMILE! }

This was created for another color challenge at The Stamp Shack. I'm just not crazy about this butterfly stamp so it's the first time I've used it. I bought the set because I loved the sentiment "Life gives you many reasons to SMILE". (I stamped this on the inside.)
Patterned Paper is from a "Pocket full of Posies" with sparkles stack pack. Stamps: Stampin' Up! Reason to Smile & Tagger's Dozen
Cardstock: Cool Caribbean, Marigold Morning, Pixie Pink.
Ink: Cool Caribbean. Doodled with Tempting Turquoise fine tip marker. SU grosgrain ribbon - mustard, rose & turquoise. Making Memories flower brad.
I notice after uploading the photo that the marigold color looks brighter orange than it really is. IRL it is more subtle, more of a melon color.

{ True Blue } ~ a Color Challenge!

This card is my submission in the monochromatic color challenge #3 at The Stamp Shack.
I've used a series of blue patterned papers by Making Memories. The flower is the Big Blossom template printed on the back side of the pp and cut out. The "thank you" sentiment is from the Stampin' Up! set "Noteworthy". Very simple and quick card!

3-3-07 I thought this card need a little extra pizazz so went back and added the white gel dots around the flower and in the center. Hmmmm, what else does it need?
