It was such a beautiful day today! I got my flower garden weeded and soaked up some sunshine... relaxing on the deck coloring some new images! : ) This darling Noah's Ark image was *so* fun to color, but I had to sharpen up my prismacolor pencils as the animals are pretty tiny.
Isn't this "file folder" card design clever?! This afternoon I received a beautiful card in the mail from my stamping friend Donna and that's where I got the idea. She's always coming up with the most unique designs and I'm thankful she shares them with me! : )
Usually, I try to remember to stamp the inside sentiment onto scrap paper before I stamp it on the card, just to be sure it's mounted straight. Well, this time I forgot and it's crooked! : / Oh well, I guess it's not that bad. I still wanted you to see what the card looked like when opened.
Card Supplies: Stampin' Up! So Saffron & Brocade Blue cardstock & ink. Blue fishy patterned paper is from the Sun & Sand collection by American Traditional Designs. Stampin' Up! canvas background stamped on upper half of card. Noah's Ark by Rubber Stampede, tab sentiment "A Very Special Delivery" is from the PapertreyInk Faux Ribbon set. Inside baby blessing sentiment is a PSX stamp. Strip of blue cardstock was put through my Cuttlebug with the Mesh embossing folder. Used mega circle punch and SU word window punch. SU bluebird ribbon, spiral clip and brads to embellish.

Just stamp your sentiment on a contrasting color and put it over the crooked one. I rarely just stamp my sentiment inside the card. It adds more interest if you stamp on a contrasting color and maybe even layer that with another color.
This is so cute! Love the file folder card- is it a template? I need to make one like this with my love of office supplies you know!

Hi Pam,
You know what? I totally forgot I had sent you my card using this template. I just logged on and saw your card and thought - "wow - I have that pattern"! Then I read your description. Glad you could use it to make this adorable card! You did a great job.

Oh, that is just so very adorable! Love the file folder idea... Might have to use that, too. And the Stamp is too cute - my 3 year old is sitting next to me right now and just said "is that a stamp? can we get that one, mommy?" (he also wants to make a penguin goodie bag, now! lol! I can't believe you're enabling my pre-schooler! :)
Love the card and the folder idea, just restamp the sentiment on another piece of paper and cover it over.
