Have you ever bought a decorative paper you absolutely love so much that you can't bring yourself to use it...you prefer to *save* it? :)Well, such is the case with this fabulous "shimmer glitter" paper by Heidi Grace Designs.
This layout is a take-off from the one I did last Thursday. For this one, I just turned the card sideways and put the tag on the top. It's a standard 4-1/4 x 5-1/2" card but I have cut 1-1/2 inches off of the front fold.
Would you believe I used FIVE punches for this one tag? :) That's just CRAZY! LoL First is the scalloped punch, then a 1-1/2" circle of choc chip. Next, I punched a piece of the flowered background paper with a 1-1/4" circle punch, then I stamped the sentiment on kraft paper and punched out the center of it with my 3/4" punch. After that, I punch the sentiment out with my 1-3/8" punch. I attached this top sentiment layer with mini glue dots. Then, to attach the tag to the card, I used Stampin Up dimensionals. (I should buy them by the case because I use them *all* the time)
My dear friends, since this card was created with all of YOU in mind . . . I would like to send it out to one of you faithful blog readers. Please just leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog or gallery... or your favorite stamping website! I'll do a random draw, if necessary. :)
*THANKS SO MUCH* for stopping by today! Smiles 2 U! ~ Pam :)
Quote for Today ~
"Count your blessings. Once you realize how valuable you are and how much you have going for you, the smiles will return, the sun will break out, the music will play, and you will finally be able to move forward the life that God intended for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence." ~ Og Mandino
Gorgeous card, Pam! That tag is awesome!
Gorgeous!! Love the paper!
Purti-ful! I am really into "different" folds these days. Thanks for sharing. My blog is: http://inkclinations.blogspot.com
Thanks for the hugs! Love that stamp and your card as always!
I know what you mean about hoarding paper...I do that too! Gorgeous card, and I'm sooooo impressed with that tag. Fabulous job! Hugs back to you! :-)
Glad that you used that paper, it is beautiful, but do know what you mean. This card is lovely and that tag is awesome.
I can see why you were reserving the paper. It is gorgeous! I love this layout too!
I definitely do not have a blog, but here is one I go to daily, another Nebraskan girl (near North Bend), Vicki Chrisman. So much talent and love inside of one girl!
I have a blog and aspire to be a designer (some day). I'd love for you to visit my blog:
What great paper...and card! I love all the elements used!
Would sure love to be the recipient of the card. What a beautiful job!
Oh I have the same problem. Strangely, I'll use my less appealing papers first and hoard the nicer ones. I have difficulties cutting up my favorite papers. I'll actually return to the store and buy another pack of designer paper just so I can use the one I already have.
Love your paper and the design of your card is fabulous. I really love how you did your scallop circle. Fabulous!
