Yes, this color combo is a bit out of my comfort zone! : ) Please tell me what you think of it! I can take it. : )
The green striped paper "Playful Streamline" is by K*I Memories and I don't recall where I got the orange paper with brown polka dots. I think it was in a DCWV stack pack. The big flower is created with my new Stampin' Up! "Pick A Petal" set, stamped with chocolate chip ink.
This layout idea was borrowed from one we made at SU Club last month. I guess I wasn't feeling creative enough tonight to come up with something new. Besides, I love this layout with the big flower. The card is a 5 x 5 square. I've layered the striped paper on top of chocolate chip cardstock. And I also layered the flower petals too and attached them with SU dimensionals.
The "Smiles" sentiment is an "A Muse" stamp. The inside sentiment is "Sending smiles your way" - a Verses Rubber Stamp. And that is where I've "borrowed" my QUOTE for TODAY ~ "If I could reach up and hold a star for everytime you've made me smile, the entire evening sky would be in the palm of my hand." - unknown
Sending U Smiles, Pam :)
Actually Pam, I LOVE the color scheme - it is really really pretty! And, that big flower is awesome, did you use chipboard with the petals? Love it!

Absolutely awesome! I love when the different color combos come together. This is perfect. I couldn't wait to get this set and have not even stamped with it. Bad me. I may just get it out now. Thanks for the inspiration
Nothing wrong with this color combo at all! This makes me think of late summer and perfect for right now. And this layout is so super! Love this card!
I LOVE this card, Pam! So yummy!
Nothing wrong with comfort in my opinion. If I made the same color card day after day, but it makes ME feel good, then that's what I'm creating for.
I give it two thumbs Up, I like the colors.
Out of your comfort zone? Well, it CERTAINLY doesn't look like it! This card is absolutely GORGEOUS, Pam! I LOVE it! WOW!
It looks great. I love how you layer the petals. Gives it richness.
Seems to me the orange and brown were similar to the colors used in your family/dining room back in the early 80s. At least I remember the dark brown in the brick fireplace. :D
I so love the colours, Pam, but does that surprise you--coming from a person who uses lots of bright pinks and oranges. The paper choices are awesome. Love it!
I love this striking, vibrant color combo and your layout is awesome. This particular stamp set can be difficult to work with but you have done an incredible job!!!
WOW, that card is AWESOME!
I like the color scheme...you pulled the orange from the background paper and I think it looks funky and fallish...great card!
It look like a automn card and it's a great one. I love the choice of colors
These colors are right in my comfort zone...love this. It appeals to me in a very strong way. Love the layout, too.
Pam, I think you hit the nail on the head with this card! It's cheery and trendy at the same time!
I absolutely LOVE it Pam!!
The colors are great.
The pp is from My Mind's Eye - Magnolia series. The only reason I know this is because I shared my stack with you. ;) It's one of my favorite series of pp. I know I'm a little late on commenting, but I wanted to say that this card is soooo cool!
