{cQc #22} It's Happy Hour Somewhere!

Happy Weekend Everyone!

I've already checked a few things off my "To-Do List" and have the rest of the weekend to do as I please.  Yes!  It doesn't get much better than that!   So, first off today, I've created a card for one of my favorite color challenges ~ COLOUR Q.

Arielle at the Colour Q Blog always comes up with some winning combinations.  This group of colors is perfect for a baby's room like the photo shows, but my first thought was SUMMER.   :)    Once again, I pulled out a sheet of cardstock for each color and went to my designer paper stash to see if I had anything to match.  This one jumped out at me, but I had NO idea how I was going to make it work!   If you're wondering where I got it, I have no clue except that the back says 2004 Flair Designs.  That tells you how long it's been neglected in my paper rack.  Poor thing!

This martini stamp is one I've had from M's dollar bin, but I should tell you that STAMPIN' UP! has a set that is similar and it's on my Wish List!  It's called "Cheers to You" and it's on page 62 of the big catty.  The sentiment on the front is from Inkadinkado.  Isn't it perfect for this?  :)  And on the inside is another dollar stamp.

Yesterday I took all my ribbon spools off the shelves above my stamp area so I would have more room for my single stamps and when I reorganized them, I found several (most) that I haven't used in such a long time.   I suppose I could sell some of them, but you never know when I might want them again!

I hope this card made you *SMILE* today!   :)  It's just a fun card that could be sent to a friend or family member to let them know you're thinking of them.  I guess I should mention that it's a 5-1/4" square of night of navy, layered with sahara sand  and the designer paper is stitched in the corners.  The image is colored with copic markers and I've used a silver swirl clip to attach the 5/8" certainly celery grosgrain ribbon.  The little mini library clip on the sentiment is from Stampin' Up'.

Before signing off, I want to say THANK YOU again for all your kind comments about the vintage cards I've been making lately.  I'll be back with more, I promise!

Wishing you all a warm and wonderful weekend!

CHEERS!

Very pretty. That paper looks almost like each block is individually stamped. Love it!
