Another fantastic sketch challenge today! These sketches are designed by one of my favorite cardmakers ~ Mercy Kerin of Lord Have Mercy fame. In fact, Mercy is one of my stamping idols! Seriously! I always ooh and aah over all her creations! Her blog is one you won't want to miss when looking for some cardmaking inspiration!
As for my card... it's for the Stamps & Smiles Challenge at The Fresh Batch. I'm telling you, every time I log on, it seems that there is another wonderful blog to read or challenge to participate in. I just noticed this one and it's already week 23! The great thing is that you can do what you feel...or not. :) Sometimes, the challenges catch my eye and I have an instant idea in mind. Such was the case today. I've been wanting to use this Pocket Silhouettes set by Stampin Up that I've had for a few months now. I used my Stampin Up markers and colored direct to the rubber and then stamped on confetti white cardstock. The florals were punched with the 1-1/2" circle punch and layered onto pink passion scalloped circles. These are attached to the card with dimensionals. Normally, I'm not much for pink passion, but it coordinated the best with this designer paper. If you're wondering ~ it's Sultry by Basic Grey.
The size of this card is 6-1/2 x 3-1/4". (6-1/2" square folded in half) I really like this size, but don't make it as often as the standard 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.
Once again, I zig-zag stitched around the dp and added a button and bow to embellish. The friend to friend sentiment is punched with the Stampin Up word window punch. I just showed my card to my DH (aka MW ~ Mr Wonderful) and he said "it sure is PINK!" Ok, I think I'll just take that as a compliment and let it go! ;)
What do you think? Other than "it sure is PINK"! :) Your comments and encouragement are what motivate me to keep chugging along on this journey. Lately, I feel as though I've met so many new friends and I'm smilin' from ear to inky ear! :)
This week is flying by and although I haven't done everything I've wanted to do, I have got a lot done around here. Today, I washed the window in my stamping room inside and out and hubby put all new weather stripping on it too. It was SO dirty, I could barely see out! Well, maybe not quite, but almost that bad! If you notice my card photos are brighter, you'll know why! LOL :)
I suppose tomorrow I better go into work for a few hours to get things ready for next week's production. Hopefully, it won't take long! Ugh! I could certainly get use to this life of leisure!
That's all the chit chat for now...Smiles 2 U & Happy Stampin'! ~ Pam :)

Pink is good!! It's a beautiful card--I have many friends that would enjoy receiving that card!
I've been on vacation, too...I'm back-logged on reading all of my blogs!! Where do you get the great sayings for the cards (such as s.c.u.b.a. and the ones said by children?) I LOVE THEM! I was thinking a lot of them would even be a blast in my scrapbooking (which I tend to do more of then cards).
Really enjoy your site!!
This is beautiful! I love that Sultry paper--not one that I have, but I swore I would not buy any more paper for a while!!! Love the stitching too!
