Elzy is driving by to say "Hi"!

Once again I simply couldn't resist participating in Beate's wonderful Weekend Sketch Challenge! Isn't this layout FUN?! Be sure to visit Beate's blog, "Fresh & Fun" or search WSC37 at Splitcoaststampers to see all the other fabulous creations using this sketch.

The patterned paper I've used for this card is from one of my favorite stacks by K & Company ~ Wild Saffron. I've layered it on Stampin Up cardstock ~ wild wasabi and blue bayou. The adorable little "Elzy" image is a small wood mounted rubber stamp by Elzybells Art Stamps, Ltd distributed by A Muse.

I think Elzy's sporty car looks like a VW Beetle ~ and I colored it yellow ~ just like the one I drive! I just showed this card to hubby (aka MW) and he said "where are the dents in the roof?" :) Ok, let me explain... on Monday morning when I was leaving for work, I pushed the garage door opener button and went and got into my car. I started to back out and CRASH!!! Yes, you guessed it... I hit the garage door!!!
In my defense, I had looked in the rearview mirror and saw daylight, but unbeknownst to me, the door had only gone up about 2/3 of the way when it stuck. Grrr! What a way to start the week! It did about $450 damage to my car and although the garage door is still working, MW thinks it will need a new bottom panel. Moral of the story: make sure the garage door is ALL the way up before backing out!! :/ Have any of you ever done anything like this? Please tell me you have so I don't feel so stupid! :) LoL

I hope you're all enjoying the weekend and finding time to be creative. Thanks for stopping by today! Smiles, Pam :)

Pam, this card and layout are wonderful and if you don't mind I think I may borrow your idea as I need to use the SU "Loads of Love" truck for something for my son and your card and layout is perfect! Too cute.

Ummm...urrrr...uh huh! Yep! I have done exactly as you did! Hit the garage door that wasn't all the way up! But in my defense...ummmm...well....it couldn't have been my fault! Right?

Here's a big hug of understanding and sympathy to you! {{HUG}}

Great card, as always! Love the yellow bettle bug as my dd calls them.

As far as stupid things go: last Saturday, I leave my friends SU party. I notice there is a car behind mine, blocking the neighbor's drive. I remember thinking "oh no, I hope none of the party-goers blocked that guy's driveway". Then I see people out front & assume that they own the car in front of the driveway. I say good bye to my friend & proceed to back my car up enough to pull out of my parking place & SLAM into the front of the car I was mentally discussing not 5 minutes before. Broker the girls license plate thingie. She was cool about it & I didn't have to give her my ins info or anything. Still, I felt TOTALLY STUPID!!!

Another cute creation. I love the yellow for sure. I have to tell you something funny about my cousin. She has a long, and I mean long, and windy driveway. Half way up she hits her remote and opens the door. Well, this time her husband was in the garage and was like, "what?" and closes it--just when she drove in, so crunch, right down on her hood. There now, does that make you feel better?

I am just now seeing this post Pam and I hate to admit but I am laughing, not at you but at myself. I did this same exact thing many years ago and my DH still teases me about it. Sorry it happened. Sherri
