Today at the Stamp Shack one of the gals asked who all had their Christmas cards done. What?! Not in my wildest dreams can I imagine myself having Christmas cards done in October! I'm lucky if I get mine sent out before Christmas...or at all! :)
Honestly, I'm still hooked on Halloween and trying to use all the stamps in my stash for this FUN holiday. Yesterday, I remembered that I had purchased this cute "Little Witch" wood mounted rubber stamp last year at Scatter Joy ~ one of my favorite rubber stamp/scrapbooking stores in Sioux Falls, SD. Actually, I took a class they offered with Karen Lockhart on coloring with prismacolor pencils and it was FANTASTIC! If you want to take a peek, Karen has an excellent tutorial on coloring this cute little witch on her website ~ The Lockhart Stamp Company . I probably should have referred to it before I colored mine, not after! LoL
In case you're wondering the size of the image, it is approx 1-3/4 x 1-3/4. My card is only a little 3 x 3 square. I've used misc scraps of paper for layering. The green piece around the image is punched with the Marvy Uchida giga scalloped square.
Did I tell you that I WON one of the card challenges that the Stamp Shack had last weekend for World Cardmaking Day? I was doing the hApPy DaNce yesterday when I went to the mailbox and found this FUN package! These are my first stamps from Sassafras Lass! I just surfed on over to their website and I'm amazed at all the cool things they offer! Would you believe there is even a line of "Serendipity" patterned paper?! WOW! And, I love the "Owl Pals" and "Blooms & Stalks" clear stamp sets too. Oh dear, this could be trouble! :)
I do want to say a big THANK YOU to the Creative Team at the Shack as they go above and beyond in getting everyone motivated to participate in these challenges. YOU GO GIRLS!
Are you all enjoying your weekend? It's cold and rainy here in Nebraska and our beloved Huskers are having their worst season ever, but ... life goes on! :) Hey, I'll bet you all would help me with my most recent "mission" to find humorous quotes. My dear friend Lesa who I told you about yesterday, emailed me and said she needs HUMOR! I am going to *try* to send her one humorous quote each day. For instance, today I sent her "Somedays you're the dog and some days you're the hydrant." : ) I hope it made her smile! Anyway, will you help me? If you have a favorite humorous quote, please email me or leave a comment on this thread. I would appreciate it! !! Smiles 2 U All ~ Pam : )
