Pumpkin Smiles! { Two pumpkin posts in one day! }

Thanks to my 'no-so-secret sister' Donna {craftingcrazy} for this adorable pumpkin image and the fun striped Halloween paper. I've layered and stitched the striped paper on basic black and then attached to the orange card base.

The pumpkin was colored with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. The Happy Halloween sentiment is from a retired Stampin Up set - "All Year Cheer - III". Believe it or not, this little piece of ribbon was found in my scrap jar and looks like it matches the paper exactly! Isn't that serendipitous?! :)

I think I'm going to take a break from all these pumpkin cards and work on the holiday circle journal that I received in the mail yesterday. This one is Kim's {Hutchink} and she wants us to create two pages in her little album telling about our favorite collection. Hmmm, what will I do??? LoL :)

I love the stitching you have done on this card! I would not have tought about doing strait and zigzag line on the same line!

These colors are so great!!!! Lately with the kids too big and me not QUITE officially at my second childhood, halloween didn't seem as much fun, but seeing all the great cards everyone is making, I have a new love for the holiday.

Pam -
Love the detail of the stitchng. Straight stitch combined with zig-zag - how clever!!!
Just FYI...the image is from Penny Black 1998 so I'm not sure it's still available.
Very cute card.

Hey this is a great Halloween card. I really think the pumpkin is really cute. Right now I'm making cards with all the scraps of cardstock, paper, and embellishments. It's great when you find something that matches. I agree your ribbon matches the pattern paper perfectly. I love the stitching too!
