Do you think of the changing colors and falling leaves, a visit to the apple orchard, raking piles of leaves and jumping in, cool crisp air, warm cider, football games, combines in the cornfields, a flock of ducks quacking overhead, carving jack-o-lanterns and the pumpkin goo on your fingers...
Your description of autumn may be different than mine, depending on where you live. Here in the great state of NEBRASKA, this is an especially beautiful time of year and one of my favorite seasons.
When I was shopping at Micheal's in Sioux City last week, I spotted this fantastic "Fall Harvest" mat pad with gorgeous colors and illustrations by Johnny Yanok. I have to tell you though, that as much as I *love* this paper, I struggled to make a card with it tonight. Why? Because it speaks for itself and I didn't want to cover it up. I played around with different sentiments and images and this is what I came up with...not one of my favorites, but I guess they can't all be, right?
In case you're interested, the
K & Company Fall Harvest pad includes 18 sheets of double-sided cardstock mats sized 4.75" x 6.75", three each of six designs.
The tree rubber stamp I used is "Falling Foliage" by Hero Arts and the "Happy Autumn" sentiment is a portion of a rubber stamp is PSX.
I would enjoy hearing what season is your favorite...or what Fall is like where you live. I read all your comments and appreciate them so so much.
Have a Happy Autumn!

I would have to say Fall is my #1 season of the year. Growing up in FL I didn't have much fall. No leaves changing, no temps getting cooler so when I moved to NC the first time in 1989 I was in 7th heaven! I still love it here and get so excited when I see the leaves start to change!
Now that truly is an autumn card if I ever saw one! Like you, I love K&CO paper.
Pam, you struggled with this? Who would have thought! It's beautiful! I love the Fall. It's a beautiful time of year, leaves changing, the smell of leaves, going to the cider mill AND getting fresh cider & warm donuts, and apple recipes baking in the oven. These are just a few of my Fall favorites!
So happy to see you back in blogland Pam. Fall here is an interesting season. It is still very warm with cooler nights. Our dogwood trees are turning yellow and pink right now. So beautiful. We get crazy hot winds in Oct. and Nov. called Santa Ana Winds. Unfortunately fires usually go along with them. So, in the fall I always get all my paperwork cleared out and make sure my fire safe has all the most current information. I get ready to evacuate in the fall. In spite of the bad parts I love the crisp nights, pretty leaves and fresh apples.
Very pretty papers! I love your card. My favorite time of the year!
Autumn in Washington state is so beautiful. We just took a trip to the apple orchards and enjoyed the fall foliage on the mountains, and the large orchards with great bins of apples in the produce stands. The smell of fresh apples is in the air, and they always have someone cutting samples of the many varieties they sell. You will have to stop by my blog this weekend and see some pictures of our trip! By the way...I love the card and the wonderful pictures on the paper.
