{SSSC80} Books Fall Open...You Fall In

When I saw this cute stamp set, it reminded me of my sister Susie who is an avid reader and has a library in her home.  Seriously, she has thousands of books, has read most of them, and she even has them in a database!   What's even better is that she loans them to us to read too! : )   So anyway, this card was created especially for her.

Last month, my sweet stamping friend Crystal Barr from The Messy Stamper posted a card using this set and after I drooled all over it, she generously offered to send me some images to play with.   Here's my first creation with them...

This great layout is thanks to Karen Giron at The Sweetest Thing and this is her Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #80.    Everyone can participate and you'll find all the details on her blog.  Hope you'll join in the fun!

If you're wondering, this stamp set is from My Favorite Things.  The card is a standard 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" and the base cardstock is Night of Navy by Stampin' Up!  The designer paper is a double-sided from The Paper Loft, titled "Old Towne Tavern".  I love the earth tones and think it would make a great "guy" card too.

How's your week going so far?  Mine is flying by and I can see the weekend in sight.  Yes! : )

Thanks so much for all the nice comments since I mentioned that I'm resigning as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and went to this "generic" blog design.  I really enjoy hearing from you and appreciate the feedback immensely!

Hugs & Smiles,

And all the sweet serenity of books.

A big hello from Australia Pam!

Your card is absolutely fabulous! Reminds me so much of my 12 year old! She ALWAYS has her head in a book which I really admire! I can never find myself a great book to read or otherwise I would probably be doing the same thing! lol

Love this card! I am a big reader myself, but I donate the books to the library when I'm done as I don't have room for them anywhere.
