Oh, how I love Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge! It is such a pleasure being on Mercy's team of *muses*. I thoroughly enjoy working with this talented group...each one having a unique style of their own. Not only that, they are *hilarious* and I feel such a sense of camaraderie with them.
I thought you might like to see how I've used another portion of the Stampin' Up! Close as a Memory stamp for today's card. In case you missed yesterday's post, I used the portion of the flower on the left. For this card, I've used the right side of the stamp, inking it up with Stampin' Write Markers ~ always artichoke and sage shadow. They were the closest match to my vintage-looking designer paper by K&Company.
After I got this all done and was editing the photos, I decided that perhaps the buttons on the right side were too much and distracted from the floral image. What do you think? Since they were stitched on with linen thread and the top layer glued down, there was no turning back. : / If I make another like this, I think a simple "Thinking of You" type sentiment would work perfectly there instead.
