Hello from the Heart

Tonight I decided to make another card using Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge because I *really* like this sketch!  Not only that, but I had wanted to use this vintage designer paper and I thought it would work well with the layout!

If you don't recognize this Stampin' Up! floral stamp, it is because it is a real oldie from 2002.  I wanted something I haven't used in awhile and I don't think I've created a card with this set since I started blogging over three years ago.  By the way, the set is called Nature's Wonders.

This week flew by and I'm looking forward to another glorious weekend!  How about you?

Happy Stamping & Smiles 2 U!

Holiday Cheer! { Mojo #9 }

My mojo is back! :)

Well, let's hope it's back for awhile anyway. I haven't felt very creative this week. Do you ever feel like that? You sit down to stamp and create a card and nothing looks right? Usually, when this happens to me, I like to visit other blogs or websites for creative inspiration.

I truly appreciate all the super talent out there, such as Julee T at Poetic Artistry, who take the time to design card sketches for us.

For today's card, I've used Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #9. With design in hand, all I had to do was select my patterned paper, stamp set and inks! Easy peasy!

Do you like this paper I've used? The colors are somewhat non-traditional Christmas colors, but very festive. All the paper and the chipboard circle embellishment are from a "Make It Possible" Holiday Wishes Christmas 2007 Mat Stax.

This is the first time I've used this stamp set. It's a Hero Arts ClearDesign set called "Laughter & Merriment". I've used Versafine Vintage Sepia ink for the sentiment and the little bird. Can you tell that I paper pieced his wings with the striped paper? And I colored him with a crimson red prismacolor pencil. The scalloped circle and the chipboard tag are attached with dimensionals.

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend!

Magic Broom Flourish { Hero Arts }

Last week, I received this super cute little witchie stamp from my friend Donna (craftingcrazy) in Oregon. I think this stamp is adorable and I couldn't wait to ink her up and make a card.

This is a wood mounted rubber stamp by Hero Arts and the name of it is "Magic Broom Flourish". The "Happy Halloween" sentiment is from one of my Stampin Up sets. I've used SU Only Orange cardstock for the base, and the polka dot Halloweenie patterned paper came from Donna. :) She said it's from the Martha Stewart Halloween collection. It comes in a package of 18 sheets, 6 different double sided designs.

It is SO chilly today in Nebraska that it feels like it should be the end of October! Thankfully, it's just a fast moving cold front and should warm up again next week. I hope so, because I'll be on VACATION and my sister Judy is coming to visit from California. Can't wait!

I've got another holiday circle journal here for a swap that I'm in and plan to work on that today. I'll post a photo when I get it done.

Have a WONDERFUL weekend everyone! Smiles, Pam :)
