Today is a bright and sunny HAPPY DAY here in Nebraska
...and I hope it is in your world too!
I'm enjoying the holiday weekend and thrilled to have an extra day off to catch up on some things around here... and it's wonderful to have a little extra time for stampin' too! Oh, Life is Good when we can do as we please! ♥ Yesterday, we started a little landscaping project and now that is on hold until MW (Mr Wonderful) gets more sand. The weather is so beautiful lately that I enjoy being outdoors. The leaves haven't started to turn yet, but I feel autumn in the air. Earlier today, I was picking apples up off the ground around our apple tree, and I was amazed at all the butterflies fluttering about. I guess I should have tried to take photos of them to share with you. But, I do have a butterfly card to share with you instead! : )
Last weekend when my friend Vicki came over to stamp with me, she brought this beautiful butterfly stamp with her. (If you're wondering, it's a retired Stampin' Up! stamp.) We inked it up with Versamark and then embossed it using black detail embossing powder. Time ran out on us that day, so we challenged each other to create a card when we had the time...using our butterfly image.
Well, today's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge with Nancy McKinney's fabulous layout, was the perfect inspiration for my butterfly card. I did make it a 5-1/4" square, instead of the standard rectangle, so it would better accomodate the large butterfly image.

Have a bright and sunny day!
Quote for Today ~ (from the inside of my card)
What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls a butterfly.

You slammed this sketch, Pam :) Love the butterfly and the polka dots - two of my favorite things to use on a card! Glad you have a fun day to play!
