Happiness is . . . Meeting My Blog Friends!

Left to right:  Debbie Fisher, Gail Slagle, ME

Today was an absolutely splendid day as I had the pleasure of meeting two very special blog friends ~ Debbie Fisher and Gail Slagle from central Nebraska.  I'm so thankful they were willing to drive over 2 hours to my home as we had a ball... laughing, eating, stamping and learning all kinds of tips from each other!

Gail asked for a "sewing lesson" as her new Janome Sew Mini has been in the box since she bought it several months ago.  She's a very quick learner and I think we're going to see lots of stitching on her cards from now on!  Also, Debbie and I tried to convince Gail that she needs to have a stamping blog and we showed her how easy peasy it is to do with Blogger.  : )    You should see the cards she's created!  I know you want too!  ;)  Here are two beauties she brought me...

Stamp Set:  Because I Care

And look at what Debbie made me! (photo below)   Isn't this hanging CREATE plaque just perfect for my stamping room?!  I adore it!   You'll want to click on the photo for a larger view of the glittery letters, stitching and FAB distressed flower.  Gotta love the cute little birdie punch too!!   If you like this, you'll *love* Debbie's blog ~ The Paper Garden.  Check it out and leave her some love while you're there!  :)  Did you know (I didn't!) that Debbie designs for Inky Antics and colored nearly all the images in their new catalog?!!  I tell ya, this girl's got skills!

What else did we learn today???  Debbie told us to lick the sewing machine needle instead of the thread when threading it.  Seriously?  Try it, it works!  Also, she showed me how to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  Now, I know how easy it is, but I struggled with that thing!  : /   I should have taken notes on all the info flying around this room today.  It was awesome!

Well, I told Debbie and Gail that I would have this posted by the time they got home this evening, so I better hit the POST button and quit carrying on.    Thank you all for stopping by and for letting me share my SUPER FUN day with all of you!  : )

Smiles!

p.s.  who's going to come and visit me next?!

Pam - I had such a GREAT day today visiting with you! You have such a beautiful home, awesome stamping studio, great food, cute puppy dog and such a wonderful personality! I just enjoyed the whole day - it really did fly by! It was fun visiting with Debbie all the way up to Norfolk and all the way back. We live in a very beautiful state and the trip was so pretty. Now it's your turn to come visit us in Central Nebraska! :) Thanks for everything - now I am off to thread my sewing machine.
