Happy St. Patrick's Day, my Friends!
The title of this post should read Top o' the Evening, instead of morning. I had intended to post this much earlier today and just kept getting sidetracked! It's almost comical how I can move flit from one thing to another. I needed to dust our bedroom and bath, especially the blinds, when I noticed how dirty the bathroom mirrors were and the next thing I knew, I was cleaning out the bathroom drawers and cupboards too. And it was a great day to wash bedding so got that done as well. :) Not what I had planned to do, but so glad to have it done.
Well, the "Queen of Green" is at it again! How could I resist this GREEN Colour Q Challenge, especially on St. Patty's day?! Check out this unlikely color combination Arielle has challenged us with this week . Oh. my. goodness! I don't remember the last time I used Glorious Green! And then she added Going GRAY to the mix. Yikes!
.. . . all I can say is, it's a darn good thing I like green...
and it's St. Patty's Day today!
The shamrock made with punched out hearts is an idea that I cased from someone on Pinterest. If I find the original, I will share it with you! I stitched down the middle of each one so it could be folded up a bit to bring it to life. ;) The stamps I've used are from Studio G...the fun little $1 clear sets at Michaels.
As you can see, the inspiration for the layout came from Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #154.
always want to show you the inside...
finished like the front with a mini heart shamrock!
It's been a couple weeks since I stamped a card and posted to my blog and it sure feels good to be back at it. : ) One of the highlights of the last month was another *wonderful* trip to visit my *precious* granddaughter Emery Jude in Nevada. She turned 8 months old the day I got there so we had a little photo session. Here is one of my favorites . . .
The monthly sticker on her onesie was purchased as a 1-12 mo set on Etsy, along with the matching headband. It's been so fun to look back at each month's photo and see how much she's grown. Now, I have every intention of scrapbooking these photos and I'll be sure to share it with you when I do!
Emery is such a sweetie pie and totally adorable in every way! My daughter had to work more than she had planned while I was there, so I got to "babysit" and loved every minute of it! ♥ Here I am giving her a bath and trying to keep her from drinking soapy water . . .
Now, I leave you with an Irish blessing
because you all mean so much to me.
May your day be touched
by a bit of Irish luck,
brightened by a song in your heart,
and warmed by the smiles
of the people you love.
